What it feels like
Like walking in somewhere someone saved you a seat.
Unwind with Holla is a home for the African and multicultural community in Scotland. Picnics in the park, sip and paint afternoons, games nights and long tables of good food, with people who'll remember your name next time.

Come alone, leave with a group chat.
Plenty of people come on their own the first time. Say hi at the welcome desk and we'll make the first introduction. The food does the rest.

There's always a second plate.
Grill, jollof, small chops and dishes from community vendors. Nobody's counting.

It gets competitive. Nobody minds.
Tug of war, games, a DJ, and a dance circle that always forms.

Bring your mum. Seriously.
Families, flatmates, first dates and old friends. Every age and every accent.
Every colour, one community.

More questions →“I'd be coming on my own.”
You won't be the only one. Say hi at the welcome desk and we'll introduce you around.
“I've just moved to Scotland.”
Then this is a good place to start: a new city, no plans yet, and one WhatsApp link away from people who get it.
“I'm not African.”
You're welcome here. We're a home for the African and multicultural community, and for everyone who wants to share it.
“Parties aren't really my thing.”
Not everything is loud. Sip and paint and picnics are slow afternoons, with a quiet corner and good conversation.
“Is it actually free?”
Joining is free, always. Some gatherings are ticketed, plenty are free, and members get the best prices.
“Can I bring someone?”
Please do. Friends, partners, kids, your mum. Just book them a place when an event is ticketed.
The door's open.
It's free, it takes under a minute, and you'll be in the WhatsApp group before you've put your phone down.
